Advanced Facilitation - REGISTRATION CLOSED
Moving Toward Mastery
Seattle, WA, United States
In our advanced trainings, you’ll collaborate with colleagues in a creative learning community over time to develop the art of designing and leading transformational learning programs that change lives.
You will learn and practice all three aspects of the Creative Empowerment Model: Experiential Learning, Arts-Based Practices, and Leading Edge Facilitation Skills.
Based on the premise that effective facilitators are authentic, creative, responsible, and passionate, the training weaves personal growth with skill building and practice. Advanced Facilitation training is delivered in a variety of formats, from 2 days to 5 sessions, over several months depending on the location.
Two-day Advanced Facilitation Clinic
Join PYE Director of Training, Nadia Chaney, and PYE founder, Peggy Taylor, to take a deeper dive into some of the commmon concerns of more seasoned community arts facilitators.

We will spend two days in an intensive inquiry and practice of facilitation with a focus on personal presence, group dynamics, and leading and debriefing activities with a focus on increasing your impact. You will be supported in engaging in a balance of inner work and outer work, with a specific focus on your needs in the settings where you facilitate.
Likely Topics (final decisions will be made by a survey of the participants):
- developing a safer space when working with diverse groups
- working with broken agreements
- interrupting sticky dynamics with grace and power
- adjusting activities on the fly
- designing new activities
- collecting teaching stories
This training is for you if you have completed Heart of Facilitation, Art of Facilitation, or have equivalent experience actively facilitating youth using an arts/empowerment approach. Contact Susan Janow (email@example.com) with questions.
