Expand Your Zoom Facilitation Skills
In this 6-hour training, you will learn to combine Zoom tools with Creative Facilitation activities to deliver deep, interactive, and connected online learning programs. Whether you are improving on Zoom or feeling confidently experienced, this training is designed to strengthen your skills while using Zoom for maximum facilitation impact.
Creative activities
Gain a toolbox of tried and tested activities to use online that you can weave into your programs to increase engagement, connection, and creativity.
Online Facilitation Techniques
Learn how to effectively prepare for online facilitation, and learn techniques to increase participation and accessibility.
Online Connection
Experience how to create a sense of bonding and being together online.
Creative Collaboration
Experience creative group challenges that build personal confidence, collaboration skills and the ability to connect.
NOTE: This workshop introduces tools that can best enhance the possibilities for online facilitation. This workshop does not teach how to use Zoom tools, but rather helps participants to explore the creative possibilities and navigate the unique challenges of online workshops.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is preferable that you have taken “Leading Powerful Online Programs: Basic” or our previous training “How to Lead Engaging and Interactive Programs Online,” or have confidence in using basic Zoom tools including how to ‘share sound’, ‘share screen’, run ‘breakout rooms’, and facilitate ‘annotation.’
Participation Requirements
- Review the Online Training Guide for technical requirements and Zoom Tips
- Bring a few pieces of paper (or a journal), and a pen or pencil.
- Participate from a quiet and distraction free space with a bit of room to move around.
- Join 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to get oriented.
Fees and Scholarship
Sliding Scale – $125/200/275 USD
Workshop Fees
Partners for Youth Empowerment employs a SLIDING SCALE as a tool to promote economic justice and provide access to all. We invite you to self select your registration fee using our Sliding Scale as a guide. Based on where you fall on the sliding scale, you are welcome to choose the rate that works best for you. Be sure to review the Refund and Payment Policy.
Scholarship & Grants
If you need additional financial support in order to participate due to your personal situation or to the inequalities of the exchange rate to the US dollar, submit an application to our Scholarship Program. If you apply for a scholarship, you will be contacted when a space becomes available. Please note that we may not be able to get you into the training date of your choice.

Devon LittleSeattle, WA, USADevon works as a facilitator, trainer and mediator guided by the values of community, social justice and dignity. She has designed, facilitated, and managed experiential-learning programs for numerous organizations in the US and abroad. She works with groups and teams and also offers training and consultation for educators, team leaders, and other social service professionals. Devon currently consulting for schools and orgs around Restorative Justice, creative engagement, and community culture. Devon holds a BA in Sociology and a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice and is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work. Her long-time studies in the arts inspire her to use artistic mediums to help participants cultivate personal awareness, effective communication, and leadership skills.

Stephanie TurnerLondon, UK
Stephanie is an interdisciplinary artist, performer and Creative Empowerment facilitator. She has over 10 years experience facilitating in a variety of settings in London, across the UK and internationally. The focus of her work is on youth engagement particularly with minority groups. She is currently project coordinator for Amy’s Yard at the Amy Winehouse Foundation, where she supports 16 emerging artists through a robust program of artistic development. She recently designed and delivered “Skip to the Beat” a new 12-week program for the Young Urban Arts Foundation that targets young people suffering with an array of mental health challenges to support them to manage and improve their mental well being.
