Reid Kuennen’s work is rooted in their belief that everyone, regardless of age or background, has a valid desire to be seen and heard. Steeped in the power of arts and imagination-based practices, Reid has designed, facilitated, and managed experiential-learning programs for organizations in the U.S., Canada, Bolivia, Egypt, and Spain. With an equity lens, they collaborate with youth and educators to create safer and braver spaces where groups build one another up to be their most creative and courageous selves. Reid’s most foundational work has been with Partners for Youth Empowerment, Power of Hope, IndigenEYEZ, Salish School of Spokane, Reel Grrls, YMCA Camp Seymour, and Young Women Empowered. On their list of superpowers, empathic listening and inclusive humor rise to the top.
When not facilitating, Reid’s busy filmmaking, gardening and creating board games with friends. They live in Seattle, Washington with their cat, Simon.
